Pentaho includes both web-based components and design tools. The Web-based components are - Pentaho User Console, Analyzer, Interactive Reports, Dashboard Designer, CTools, Data Source Wizard and Data Source model editor. The Pentaho User Console provides the design environment for accessing Analyzer, and the other tools.

Pentaho Design tools consist of Data Integration, Report Designer, Aggregation Designer, Metadata editor, and Schema workbench. The Data Integration feature provides an ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) Engine for accessing the right data, cleansing and storing in a common format that is accessible by users and IoT technologies.
